Google Tag Manager lets you manage every other tag from one place, so it's a good
first connection if you use more than one analytics tool.

## Find your container ID

1. Open [Google Tag Manager](https://tagmanager.google.com) and choose your
   account.
2. Your container ID is at the top of the workspace, next to the container name.
3. It looks like `GTM-XXXXXXX`.

## Connect it

1. Open your custom and go to the **Tracking** tab.
2. Choose **Google Tag Manager**.
3. Paste the container ID and save.

If the ID is rejected, check you've copied the container ID and not the account
ID — the container one always starts `GTM-`.

## Check it works

Use GTM's own **Preview** mode, open your custom's public link, and answer a
question. The event should appear in the preview panel.

Give it a minute. Reporting in Tag Manager and in the tools behind it is not
instant, and an event that hasn't appeared yet is not the same as one that never
arrived.
