Most people need one workspace. You'd want a second if you run customs for
genuinely separate things — an agency with two clients, or a business with two
brands whose leads should never sit in the same table.

## Everything is separate

A workspace is a wall, not a folder. Customs, contacts and leads, brands, media,
templates and team members all belong to one workspace and are invisible from
another.

That's the point, and it's also the catch: there's no moving a custom from one
workspace to another, and no shared library between them.

The plan is the exception. It belongs to whoever pays, not to a workspace: every
workspace you create runs on your plan, and they share what it includes. Two
workspaces don't mean two plans.

## Creating a workspace

1. Open the menu at the bottom of the left sidebar, the one with your name.
2. Click **Change workspace**, then **New workspace**.
3. Give it a name and click **Create**.

You land in the new workspace straight away, empty and ready for its first
custom. You're its owner, and it runs on your own plan alongside the others you
own — even if you created it while you were in someone else's workspace.

How many workspaces you can have depends on your plan. The counter next to
**New workspace** shows how many your plan is using out of how many. When you
can't create one, the button is greyed out and says why when you hover it: your
plan includes only one workspace, you've reached its limit, or you don't have a
plan of your own (you only joined other people's workspaces). See
[Changing or cancelling your plan](/en/settings/plan-and-billing/changing-your-plan/).

Setting one up for a client? Create it the same way, then invite them from
**Team** inside it. See [Your team](/en/settings/team-and-roles/). Inviting them
doesn't change who pays: the workspace stays on your plan.

If you'd rather your client pay for it themselves, send them a transfer from
**Workspace settings → Workspaces → Transfers**, with **New transfer**. They get an email
with a link. When they accept, the workspace moves to their own plan and they
become its owner; you stay in it as an admin.

Sending a transfer means you stop paying for that workspace: you only keep
funding it, for the days and leads you choose, while they decide. If they
decline, or don't answer in time, its customs go offline. Until they answer, you
can cancel the transfer and keep paying. Only whoever pays for the workspace can
send one, and if you don't see **Transfers**, your plan doesn't include it. See
[Handing a workspace's billing over](/en/settings/plan-and-billing/handing-billing-to-a-client/).

## Switching

Your current workspace is shown in the left menu — open it to switch. Everything
on screen changes with it: the customs you see, the leads, the team.

Being in one doesn't sign you out of another. You're a member of each, and
switching just changes which one you're looking at.

## It's per browser, and it remembers

Custom One remembers the workspace you last switched to and puts you back there
next time you sign in.

It remembers per browser and device, though. Switch on your laptop and your phone
stays where it was — which is useful once you're used to it, and confusing the
first time it happens. If you're ever unsure which one you're in, the left menu
is the place to check.

## Joining someone else's

You don't create a workspace to join a team — you get invited to theirs. Accept
the invitation and it appears alongside your own, and you switch between them the
same way.

Your role can differ in each one: an owner of your own workspace and a guest in a
client's is perfectly normal.
