Make a module change per person
Most modules can say different things to different people. There are two ways to do it, and they work the same in every module: give the module a version per answer, or put their answer in the text.
The module’s panel
Section titled “The module’s panel”Click a module on the page and its panel opens on the right, with the module’s name at the top. It’s one column: Who sees what first, then the module’s content, and at the bottom a Settings card — “Shared by every version” — for what stays the same for everyone.
Hide settings folds the panel away so the page gets the room back.
Who sees what
Section titled “Who sees what”Under Who sees what, a blue line reads Everyone — one version: everyone sees the same thing. Click it to open your quiz questions.
- Questions under Can drive versions are the multiple-choice ones (and number questions). Tick one, and the module gets one version per answer.
- A number question gives two versions, Low and High.
- Questions under Typed answers, insert only — names, emails, free text, dates — can’t make versions. You can still put them inside text (below).
Tick a second question and the versions multiply: one per combination of answers. There’s no limit, so keep an eye on the count on the blue line.
Write the versions
Section titled “Write the versions”With a question ticked, you get Versions and one card per answer, labelled with that answer. Open a card and write what people who gave that answer should see. The card you have open is the one the page shows, marked On canvas.
Changing the question rebuilds the versions, but what you wrote is kept wherever the answers still overlap. Pick Everyone — one version to go back to one version; the content you had before comes back.
If your quiz has no multiple-choice question yet, the module says This module can’t vary yet with a link to add one. If you delete a question a module was following, it tells you, with Pick another or Stop following.
Title follows one question at a time. Their details, Name header, Answer list and Pills have no Who sees what: they already show each person’s own information.
Put their answer in the text
Section titled “Put their answer in the text”Every text field has an {x} button. It lists what you can insert, in groups: Contact fields, Collected in the quiz, Import only (filled only for people added by import, webhook or API), Scores and Date. Pick one and it drops in as a coloured tag that shows each person’s own value.
To change how an answer reads, click its tag: How each answer appears lets you give each answer a short wording. Leave a row blank to keep the answer as it is. The wording is saved on the question, so it applies everywhere that answer is inserted — every module, every page.
Number fields take a number or a score. Their {x} list ends with Create a score…, and clicking a score’s tag lets you edit it.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”The Settings card holds what’s shared by every version, such as the fixed words a module draws around your content — the “Do” and “Don’t” headings, a “You” marker, a ring’s caption. Most go back to their built-in word if you empty them.
Check it
Section titled “Check it”Use Test at the top right of the canvas to see the page as a particular person would, with their answers filled in.
