Versions and snapshots

Source

The History page lists two things together: versions you published, and snapshots you took by hand. Both are a frozen copy of the custom at a moment in time, and either can be restored.

Open it from the Save menu at the top of the Quiz, Video background, Record, Landing page or Delivery tab: click Save, then Version History…. In the list, versions you published are marked Published (the one that’s live, Live) and your snapshots Saved.

Everything that makes the custom what it is: your questions, your scenes and their recordings, your video background, your Landing page, your scores, your follow-ups, and the design settings that go with them.

It does not capture the leads who came through it. Your leads and their videos belong to the custom itself, not to a version, so restoring never touches them.

Click Save, then Save this version, before anything you might want to undo. Give it a name you’ll recognise later — “before the pricing rewrite” beats a timestamp when you’re looking at a list of them weeks on. Leave the name empty and the snapshot is named with the date and time.

Save this version is greyed out when there are no changes to save since your last snapshot or publish.

Publishing keeps a version automatically, so you don’t need a snapshot for that. Snapshots are for the moments between publishes.

Select a version and preview it first — Questions, Background and Clips each have a tab, so you can check it’s the one you meant before committing. Then click Restore.

Restoring replaces your current draft with that version’s contents. Anything you’ve changed since and haven’t published is overwritten — the confirmation warns that this can’t be undone — so take a snapshot of where you are now if you’re not certain. Restore is greyed out when your draft already matches that version.

Restoring doesn’t publish. Your live custom keeps serving what it served before until you publish again — which gives you room to look the restored version over first.

The list keeps a working number of entries rather than everything forever. Named snapshots are the ones worth taking when something matters: they’re easier to find, and a name tells you why you took it.
