Your first clip
Open Record on a new custom and your first scene is already there, called Welcome, with a single clip, ready to film.
A scene is one moment of the finished video — a welcome, a comment on someone’s result, a closing line. Your scenes sit in a row and play left to right. Together they are the video. Add scene at the top of the room, or the empty column at the end of the row, adds another.
Each scene holds one or more clips, and what you film for a clip is a take — the recording itself.
Click any clip to open its briefing — who it plays for, your notes, and the Record button.
When one take is not enough
Section titled “When one take is not enough”A scene can have more than one clip. Clips are alternatives for the same moment: one for people who answered Beginner, another for Advanced. Each visitor sees exactly one clip of each scene, so the running order never changes — only which clip fills each slot.
A scene with a single clip plays for everyone, and plenty of customs never need more than that. When you do want to branch one, see Choosing who sees a clip.
How much filming is left
Section titled “How much filming is left”The meter at the top counts clips, not scenes. It reads “4 of 7 versions recorded” — the honest measure of how much filming is left.
Beside it, unique videos counts how many different videos your clips add up to: each person gets one clip of every scene, so every combination is a different video.
