Choosing who sees a clip
Every scene carries a Plays for chip, starting at Everyone. Open it — the menu asks Who sees this clip? — to choose what the scene’s clips branch on.
The choices
Section titled “The choices”| Choice | What you get |
|---|---|
| Everyone | one clip, everybody sees it |
| a question, listed by its title under Changes with | one clip per answer to that question |
| a score, listed by its name | one clip per score range |
| From your pages → a module | one clip per outcome of that module |
| Combine questions | one clip per combination of answers across the questions you pick |
Only questions, scores and modules that would produce more than one clip are listed. A question with a single answer, an open text question, or a score with one range will not appear — that is why the list is often shorter than your quiz.
When your custom has scores, Combine questions reads Combine questions & scores, and you can mix the two.
When you change it
Section titled “When you change it”Changing the choice rewrites the scene’s clips. If takes you have already filmed no longer fit, the menu tells you first — “2 recordings move to the footage bin. You can reattach them anytime.” Nothing is thrown away.
Hover a scene and open Scene settings for the finer controls: link more than one question, or group several answers into one clip. To end up with fewer clips — or stop recording a scene without deleting it — see When there are too many clips.
Advanced: writing your own conditions
Section titled “Advanced: writing your own conditions”When none of the choices above fits, Custom conditions, at the bottom of the menu, lets you give each clip its own conditions (the window calls them versions: Add a version). They are checked from top to bottom and the first match plays; Everyone else plays when none of them match.
